Albany is an important manufacturing center for rare metals, food
processing, timber, and seed industries. During the city's Victorian
Days, Albany was a prosperous river town and home to Oregon's largest
group of past architectural styles, including every major style popular
in the entire United States since 1850. |

The Monteith Hackleman and Downtown Commercial Historic Districts offer visitors 350 homes to tour. Touring of the homes will be offered on the last Saturday in July, during Albany's Victorian Days as well as the Christmas Parlour Tour which is held on the third Sunday in December. Included are tours of museums, historic churches and homes, hay wagon rides, refreshments and trolley rides. |

There's also the world's largest logging event, the Albany Timber Carnival. Held annually, during the July 4th weekend, this carnival includes novice and championship competitions in log chopping, bucking (sawing), speed climbing, tree topping, birling (log rolling on water), axe throwing, and a queen coronation fireworks. |

Wait! There's more...How about Albany's Great Balloon Escape and Wine Festival!
This is a 3 day event and starts each morning with all of the colors of a rainbow at balloon lift.There's also live entertainment, lots of food & crafts, Night Glow Presentation, and wine tasting.
If you are a concert goer, or just enjoy listening to live music, there is the River Rhythms concert.
